Highlight Reel

Here’s just a sampling of the many comments we’ve received from our customers:

Everyone should take this tour! As a blues journalist, I’ve been coming to your city for over six years, but I never really understood Memphis until I took your tour. Absolutely brilliant.
Bill Moodie, Juke Blues Magazine (Scotland)

The Only Way to See Memphis! I've visited Memphis too many times to count over my past three decades as a group tour escort. Truthfully, it's always been a bit of a ho-hum town for me as I don't care for the blues or Elvis, and neither do most of my usually white, mature adult travelers… On my visit a couple weeks ago, my friends turned me on to Backbeat Tours. Now remember, I'm a professional tour taker. I've seen hundreds of tour guides in my life, but never, NEVER have I experienced anything quite like the tour I enjoyed under the entertaining and knowledgeable leadership of Memphis Jones (assisted by Backbeat president William Patton). On an absolutely miserable, cold day with rain pelting the bus in sheets, Mr. Jones held my complete and utter attention for two hours. Not only that, he actually convinced me of the important place the blues holds in our nation's musical spectrum to the point I purchased a compilation CD before departing the city. Two more hours in his company and I could actually become an Elvis fan, too. ATTENTION PRESENT AND FUTURE MEMPHIS VISITORS: You are cheating yourself, your friends and your family of all ages if you don't take a Backbeat Tour of this fascinating city.

Totally Worth it! My sister has become addicted to the show Ghost Adventures so we thought we would take her on a ghost tour while in Memphis, this was definitely worth it!! Our tour guide was amazing and knowledgeable and we got to see some really cool places! I even got what I think is a pic of something paranormal on my camera! I would highly recommend taking this tour!

A Fun and Entertaining Way to See Memphis! My friend and I took the [Big Mojo Tour] last week. Our guide for the tour was Gary Hardy . . . . He was a sweet, knowledgeable man who lived in Memphis his entire life and was a wealth of information about the town! He was also a wonderful musician who kept us entertained throughout the tour! We loved the music, his great sense of humor and being able to see the city in a safe and relaxing way! Our tour also included a tour of Sun Studio which was pretty amazing to see in itself! We would definitely recommend this tour if you’re looking for a historical, interactive and entertaining bus tour!

Great Tour! I thoroughly enjoyed the [Historic Memphis Walking Tour]. A friend of mine and I were in Memphis for only a day and we wanted to do a quick tour that gave us a lot of information as well as see the famous Peabody ducks. The tour did not disappoint! Our tour guide was very informative and fun, it was obvious that she loved her job! This is a walking tour so be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
