Memphis Stays Dry During Flood -- BBQ Fest Moved
Tuesday, May 3, 2011 - There's a reason that Memphis sits high on a bluff -- even in major floods like this one, downtown Memphis stays nice and dry. The flood could affect some riverfront parks and outlying areas, but hotels, restaurants and bars in downtown Memphis will be open and bustling!BBQ Fest will go on as scheduled Thurs - Sat, May 12 -14, but will be moved to the Memphis Fairgrounds (5 miles east of downtown). So c'mon down and enjoy some great BBQ and some great Backbeat Tours!
