70th Anniversary of Live Rock & Roll* Event – July 27, 2024
Come celebrate the 70th anniversary of that fateful day in 1954 when Elvis Presley brought live Rock & Roll to the stage at the Overton Park Shell and changed the world forever!
Meet us at the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum downtown and embark on a brief tour through the streets of 1950s Memphis – including rarely visited sites where young Elvis honed his talents – and then enjoy backstage access and a special tour of the historic Green Room at the Overton Park Shell, a place steeped in some of the biggest names and events in Memphis music history. Finally, enjoy an exclusive high-energy concert featuring young Elvis tribute artist Finley Watkins recreating that legendary night. Trust us, you are not going to want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime event!
Finley Watkins, from Bernie, Missouri, is a talented tribute artist who has been performing since the age of four. He plays eight different instruments and performs original music as well as paying tribute to Elvis and many of the early rockabilly legends. He is a top-notch entertainer and has performed all over America including Beale Street, Las Vegas, Branson, and Los Angeles, and has appeared twice as an Elvis tribute artist on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
